Dedicated space with an open view that allows sunlight to penetrate in. This could be an interior atrium or allocated sunroom with a sunny exposure.
You need to decide the type of tree to use. A deciduous tree will drop it leaves; you want to avoid the mess of a fall cleanup. Conifers and palms, however, keep their foliage intact.

The slide could come from the upstairs bedroom/play areas and connect to the kitchen. So when it’s time for dinner, the kids could easily slide down to eat.

The hidden room can function as your get-away room – a place for reading, taking an afternoon nap, or just getting some me-time to enjoy.
