The Power of Preventative Maintenance
Talking with Cape Fear Air Conditioning & Heating Company, we found that a preventative maintenance cycle needs to be done two times each year; one in the heating season and one in the cooling. During this session, the technician will change the filter, which is vital for removing the impurities from the system. Also, they will do some testing to make sure there is sufficient refrigerant and that the unit is in good working order. A system that is properly maintained will last up to 75 percent longer than one that isn’t serviced. Additionally, a unit that is inspected will likely last the entire season without a mechanical failure.
