Convert your attic into a playroom
Notes:
- The attic would be a great place to setup a family play and activity room – a place where the kids can entertain themselves while you are working or taking care of other needs.
- You wouldn’t need to take up the entire attic space. Just enough room for perhaps a climbing wall, activity table and other playroom needs.
- You might also consider setting up a school room with desks and chairs. Attach a large chalkboard in front where kids can play school and engage in other fun activities.
- And what’s so nice is that the mess they make won’t impact other areas of your home. Even though kids need to clean up after play, a messy attic is much better than say a messy bed or bonus room that is often looked upon.

Attic craft-making room
Notes:
- Speaking of activity, how about a playroom of sort for you – a place where you can tinker and create in an area that has been converted into a craft and sewing room.
- Imagine having the space to lay out your craft and sewing items without the fear of kids getting into small objects that can be swallowed or abused. Simply limit access to the craft room area.
- You could use this attic space for
- — crafting
- — sewing
- — sculpting
- — painting
- — metal art
- — or for any hobby you love to do.
- It would be your personal space for making creative things.

For working at home
Notes:
- The recent pandemic scare of COVID-19 had many of us working at home. You probably had to setup a make-shift area with desk and chair to perform the needed tasks and meetings using virtual networks and connections.
- Well working at home is becoming the norm for many organizations – maybe not full time, but certainly part-time as organizations adapt to better tele-efficiency and reduced commuting costs.

-

Your private getaway
Notes:
- Perhaps you need some private space to enjoy a beverage and alone-me time. True, bedrooms are generally used as your me-space. But a better place may be in the attic that is a floor or more away from everyone for a private me-time.
- What you need is a comfortable movable couch. Or perhaps a better option may be a floor sofa or pillow where you can lie of the floor and gaze out the attic windows into the night-time sky.
- An added bonus might be a wall gas or ethanol fireplace for warming up during those winter evenings.

Time for getting in shape
Notes:
- Finally, how about using the attic space as your personal fitness room? Where in the early morning, you can come from the bedroom to the attic to workout on a number of different exercises that will start your day.
- What could be fun is that you can decorate the fitness room however you like – the more bizzare the better. Different shades of color, skywindows, a big clock overhead and a water cooler to keep you hydrated.
- Everything you need to keep you in shape to reduct the drive and club fees with a local gym.
- CONCLUSION
if your attic space is big enough, you could section it off into many different rooms to satisfy the whole family. Perhaps a playroom on one end of the attic and a fitness room on the other. Or a craft room on one end and a private me-room on the other. - The attic is valuable space that shouldn’t be wasted for just storing stuff. Use it wisely; it will make your home even more valuable to you and when you sell.
