Going green … maybe
Notes:
- Part of going green is becoming energy self-sufficient. The more energy you can produce to sustain your household is less energy that has to be produced on the outside – thus reducing greenhouse gases.
- But it’s question of costs – and the aesthetic look of your home. Solar panel installation is expensive – and in some cases, may deter the look you want for your home.

What happened to the red shinges?
Notes:
- This particular home had beautiful red clay shingles on both house and garage. These shingles have now been covered with solar panels that really don’t match the other parts of the roof.
- No question that the panels it look impressive, but somewhat out of place.

Maybe it looks better with a grouping
Notes:
- Having the same style and shape within a newly built neighborhood make these solar panels a bit more appealing. But it depends on the type and color of your roof shingle.
- Note how the solar panels look better on the “blueish” shingle over the “reddish” shingle. So if you thinking of installing roof solar panels, you may want to re-do the roof to match the look as closely as possible.

A bit too much
Notes:
- Looks like they have debris scattered all over their roof. You can’t blame them – if you going to invest in solar panels, you want to invest in all the energy you can produce.
- But there has to be a better way to maintain the curb appeal.
