Give Your Home a Luxury Glow

Give Your Home a Luxury Glow
  • Opening Intro -

From time to time, every home needs a few upgrades that will add to its value and sustainability.

-------------------------------------

Whether you are trying to sell your place or you just moved in, there are a few tips that will help you make your house or apartment look and feel like a dream home.

Upgrading the kitchen

Ask any real estate agent which room is the heart of the home and most of them will reply – kitchen. You can easily change the look of your obsolete kitchen if you paint it in a brand new color. Afterwards, add a bit of diversity with new backsplash tiles.

Give a breath of freshness to your kitchen cabinets by replacing their fronts with raised-panel wood doors or decorate them with self-adhesive wallpaper of your own choice! In order to turn your kitchen into a luxury one, combine dark woods of your cabinets with granite countertops and stainless steel faucets and appliances. If you have enough space, get yourself a kitchen island that you can turn into your private bar.

Upgrading the bathroom

The bathroom is a synonym for relaxation and that’s why you should pay special attention to its remodeling. Turn it into your own private spa by upgrading your bath area. If there is no place for a Jacuzzi tub, go for large, steam showers or standalone feature tub – or both!

Instead of overhead lighting, choose wall-mounted lights. Give the countertops in the bathroom some elegance with granite or marble. Undermount sink is a fabulous idea if you want to make your bathroom stylish and provide enough space for everyday toiletries.

Bring in Some Brightness and Freshness

Every room in your home will look gloomy if there is not enough daylight and fresh air inside it. Now it’s time to change that! First of all, start with replacing windows because they will insulate your home and save energy. If you have a house, consider changing two standard windows into full-view glass doors. Skylights will work magic with both houses and apartments.

With new windows or glass doors, you will have plenty of fresh air in the rooms, but what about when your annoying, cigarette-loving aunt comes for a visit? You can’t send her out on the balcony every time she lights up a cigarette, but what you can do is to get a brilliant smoke eater that will get rid of all that disgusting smoke and odor from your home! The best thing is that you can get a portable version of your own air purifier or hide it with a concealed system so that your nosy aunt won’t nag about it!

Take Care of Your Home Exterior

Your home exterior is the first thing everybody will see once they come to visit you or negotiate about buying the house. Therefore, it’s time that you give your home entrance a bit of a stylish remodeling! After you repaint the exterior walls, you should consider changing the front doors so they would fit in with your home design.

The next step is to make sure that your lawn is properly maintained and that the driveway is nicely paved. Put a few plants at the edges of the driveway or decorate it with some grass.

If you have a deck, you can create a beautiful oasis with some lovely furniture and your own little garden.

Every home is different and every homeowner has different needs. Before you do anything, sit down and make a list of the things you absolutely must change in your home.

Don’t forget to consider whether you are planning on staying at your house or selling it. One more important thing to think about is the budget for the home remodeling. Once you get your priorities sorted, you will easily make your home more valuable than ever.
