Read our tips regarding installing new kitchens cabinets. These tips will surely help you to explore your new kitchens in a new way, cut down on the installation charges and design the space as per your choice. Carefully go through the guidelines given below.

  • 1: Make Sure You Take the Right Measurements

With the help of your measuring tape measure the height of the cabinets first and later make markings on the wall. See that you place your cabinets at a higher level according to your reach.

Cabinets in the kitchen are usually not kept on a lower base. Draw proper lines as to where you want to place the cabinets and do not mess with the measurements as it can cause a lot of inconvenience during the installation process.

  • 2: Keep the Cabinets Empty

While installing keep the cabinets empty as it makes it easier and lighter for you to carry them during the on-going procedure.

  • 3: Drill the Holes Carefully

Always make it a point to drill the holes on the backside of the cabinets and not cause any damage to the product. While drilling holes at the backside of the cabinet it becomes easier to install the product in the right place.

  • 4: Verify Before Placing Them in Place

Have a check if the doors and the drawers of the cabinets open easily before installing them. There should be enough space to spread open the doors. Once you have completed the verifying process then proceed with the installation of the cabinet.

  • 5: Place the Supporting Nails by Drilling Them into The Wall

Once you have placed the drilled nails on the wall install the empty cabinets on them. Check if the alignment is done carefully and the finishing is done neatly. Have a demo check if there is any chance for the cabinet to lose balance and fall down. Use extra precaution during the time of installation.

  • 6: Install the Cabinet Doors

Once you have installed the frame of the cabinets later install the doors. If you have a very low budget for your cabinets and cannot afford to spend money on the doors, then you can just paint the area and give a clean finishing.

If you paint the area around the cabinet well then, the absence of doors will not be felt.

  • 7: Keep the Doors Aligned and Attach the Handles

Align the doors and make sure they are installed properly. Attach the handles in the required position. Once the handles are attached you need to give a proper finishing touch to the cabinet. If there is any damage visible fix it up immediately. Have a final check on the cabinets, their alignment, opening of the doors etc. Once you are done with this process you are free to use the cabinets.
