Why kitchen tile flooring
Notes:
- It’s called spillage and easy cleanup – much better general maintenance with tile than wood or carpet.
- Kitchens are areas where greese splatters – water and other liquids get spilled – food items fall from the table to the floor.
- That is no problem with tiled floors – they are easy to clean up – mop up – wipe up – without ruining or staining the floor like you might have with wood or carpet.
- But tile does have its disadvantages – it’s a harder surface on the feet that can also be cold during the winter months.
- Keep the tiles large with minimum grout in-between if possible. This will make it easier to sweep and mop. Tile can scratch and break. So be careful pulling out counter and table chairs without cushion-feet bottoms.
