Copper
Notes:
- Much like the Statue of Liberty, the copper in your bathroom can begin to turn green over time thanks to patina, a type of build-up that can impact copper and bronze. There is a very simple solution for getting out the green and the rest of the grime.
- Simply take equal parts flour and salt, then add drops of distilled white vinegar. Apply the resulting paste to the metal after rinsing and drying the fixture. Leave it to sit for 30 minutes, then rinse with warm water and dry.

Some comments from the photo above:
- have you considered adding a vessel sink in your bathroom upgrade?
- it’s the latest sink style that fits nicely in classic and modern styled bathrooms
[view our gallery of vessel sink styles] - there are special faucets that are needed for vessel sinks – one in particular is the wall mounted faucet
- perhaps a copper coated faucet might look great for your bathroom design.

Stainless steel
Notes:
- One of the most popular finishes for bathroom fixtures is stainless steel. Fortunately, it is very easy to clean compared to some other materials.
- Gentle soap and warm water are enough to clean away most of the dirt. For stuck-on grime, you can also use mild dishwashing soap to really get the fixture clean.
-
Some comments from the photo above:
- you might want to try the touchless faucet for a bathroom
- you simply swipe your hand in certain direction to turn on cold, hot or warm water
- and then you swipe again to turn it off
- it’s perfect for those with dirty hands – like your children – who can make a mess of faucet handles when cleaning up after playing outside
- it also makes cleaning the bathroom a breeze – less items to polish up.

Chrome
Notes:
- Chrome is one of, if not the most popular metal finish for bathroom fixtures. One thing that makes chrome such a popular fixture finish for the ideal bathroom vanity is how easy it is to clean.
- Much like stainless steel, this metal also uses mild soap and warm water to clean most imperfections. For the tougher tarnishes, distilled white vinegar and warm water in equal parts will do the trick. Wipe it on with a cloth, rinse with warm water, and dry for a clean finish.

Brass
Notes:
- Brass has a different answer for how to clean metal bathroom fixtures. For surface-level crud, warm water is enough in most situations.
- To get a deep clean, create a paste from two tablespoons of baking powder mixed with lemon juice drizzled over the top. Rub the paste into any dark areas with a cloth before rinsing away with warm water and drying.
