Turn Off the Water
You will first want to shut off the water to your toilet so there are no unnecessary mishaps. Look for the valve on the wall behind your toilet and simply tighten it down and stop the water flow. This way, when you try to unclog your toilet, you will be safe from the water overfilling the tank.
Pour in Some Water
Fill a basin or small bucket with very hot water. Pour the water into the toilet bowl from waist-height. When you pour it in, pour it in quickly. The force of the water hitting the bowl from above may actually push the contents down.
Try Plunging
Most homes have a toilet plunger somewhere in storage for situations such as this one. Moisten the rubber part of a plunger in your sink so that it will adhere to the hole in your toilet making a strong seal. Grasp the wooden handle and push downward in a forceful manner. Quickly pull back up without breaking the seal. Do this several times. When you do break the seal, the force may make the contents go down.
Dislodging
Use a plumber’s snake to try to dislodge the material clogging the toilet. Put it down into the hole and wiggle it around. If you do not have a plumber’s snake, you can try using a wire coat hanger. You would need to rubber band a sock or another piece of material on the end of a hanger that has been disassembled. This is done so the hanger does not scratch the porcelain. Be careful that the sock does not fall into the toilet, however, or you are adding to the problem. Wiggle around the contraption and flush the toilet to see if the material was dislodged.

Baking Soda
You can try a mixture of baking soda and vinegar to try to eat away at the material that is blocking up the exit way. Pour it straight into your toilet bowl and leave for a few hours to start the process. Try to flush the toilet to see if the contents will go down.
Nothing Has Worked
If you have tried all of these methods, you may need to stop. The problem seems to be something a little bit bigger than what the normal person can handle. Give a plumber a call so that your toilet will be unclogged safely.
