You always makeover your house with so much love and passion. This becomes so much more important when there is a young one in the family. You would be painting the room blue or pink, putting little butterflies on the wall and tiny cartoon characters anywhere.
The pram will be the pride of the house. It will be well decorated with little bows and ribbons. There would be stuffed toys all around the house. And before you know it, your little angel has suddenly grown up! The beautiful pram suddenly becomes a block as he tries to maneuver his bike around it. Even the stuffed toys are a hindrance as he skates around them.
Time To Throw It Away
It is not easy to throw away all those things that you had bought with so much love and thought. But it has to be done as space is always required. As the child grows, so does the need for more space. An option can be to place all these items in the attic or the basement. But in case another baby is not on the way, there is no point in stocking up on all these items as they will be of no use. It is best to give them away to someone who needs them but cannot afford them.
But all this is easier said than done. After all, these form an integral part of your child’s early years. It is always difficult to let go of them so easily. Hence a viable option can be to use them in a way that makes them useful enough.
As kids grow up, they need more space too. Earlier they had to keep their toys, monopoly boxes and so on. Now they need space to keep the books, projects, baseball bat, baseball glove, tennis racket, skates, sports shoes and so on.
The bunker bed may not really be that useful now. So try to make the top bed a cupboard. The bed below can be turned into a study table. This would require the services of a carpenter. Now cupboards are needed to stock books, clothes, the coloring material and much more.

Using The Toys
The beautiful stuffed toys can be impossible to throw away. Try using them in the house. The little ones with tails can be used as tie strings for the curtains. This would look cute and unique too. Having a few stuffed toys around the living room makes the place look lively!
In this way, your house makeover can be done in an easy and affordable manner. After all, buying new items is an option but DIY is always more satisfying.
