Home renovation means money, effort and a lot of time. But now, all this can easily change. All that you need is a lot of creativity and some effort from your side. Read on to understand what we mean.
Renovating your bedroom.
If winter is approaching, you can move your bed away from the window. So try to change the position of your bed. Rather, bring your cupboards to the center of the room and make these the focal point of your bedroom. Or even your dressing table can take the pride of place.
Take out those decorative festival lights. Drape these on your headboard. Or you may even line the underside of your mattresses with them. This kind of diffused lighting can add a magical touch to your bedroom.
Get those family photos out of the closet. Now place them on a table next to your bed (or you can put them on the wall). Just change the positioning of your wall hangings and that will have a major impact on your bedroom decor.
Renovate your living room.
Change your curtains but do not spend any money on doing so! This can easily be done by replacing your living room curtains with your bedroom ones.
In case you have double colored curtains in the living room, change their placement. If your bedroom curtains are short, just add some lace at the bottom. In case they are too long, simply fold them.
Change the cushion covers to go with the curtains. You may add some wall stickers to your living room walls to give a completely new look.
Go for a major shifting of your furniture pieces. Keep the couch where the sofa is. Place a table where the couch was. Keep your sofa nearer to the doorway. You can have a completely new living room this way.
Cover your glass top table with all those artifacts that you have collected over all these years. Bring out your children’s drawings. Make a collage of them and display it in your living room.
Renovate your kitchen.
Even your kitchen can be renovated. Stick some brightly colored paper on your kitchen cabinets to give them a completely new look. Take out all that crockery and cutlery lying in storage. Start using these everyday.
If you can, change the placement of your gas stove. Change your dish clothes. Use a new apron. Take out those old kettles, pots and pans. Use these as decorative items in your kitchen. Place these on strategic places in your kitchen. Replace your existing kitchen light with a colored one.
As you can see, you can do home renovation without spending any money. Creativity is the key and the sky is the limit here. So just go ahead and make that makeover and surprise everyone!
