Here are some unique themes you can use for the girl’s nursery.
Animals in the Forest
One idea is to have a forest-themed newborn girl’s nursery. Purchase a crib bedding set that has images of forest animals on it and place an area rug in front of the crib that features animals such as deer, bears, wolves and raccoons. On the wall you can stick some decals in gray, emerald green, tan, beige, burnt orange and burgundy. For the rocking chair place a colorful quilt with images of tall trees and nuts on it.
Future Sports Star
If you envision your daughter getting involved in sports one day, you can dream ahead of time while she is still a baby. Create the nursery around a certain sport and paint a sports themed yet still feminine mural on the wall if you’re talented in art. Get a lamp that represents the sport you’re interested in and place it on the nightstand. On the changing table stencil adjectives that deal with sports as it relates to your daughter’s future in sports.
Religious Themes
If you belong to a certain religion you can pass your tradition to your newborn girl by creating a nursery with a religious theme. On the wall inscribe Scriptures that pertain to the blessings of children to parents. Place some kid friendly religious books on the nursery bookshelf that you can read to your girl at night before putting her to sleep. Another idea is to put a music box in the nursery that plays classic hymns. Look for a crib bedding set that has images of things found in the Bible such as doves, angels and fresh fruits.
Family History Theme
Create an environment where the girl will be reminded of her family background in the nursery. Have your relatives create a quilt collage with photos of older family members to be stapled on the wall next to the girl’s crib. Just above the crib hang a few small family heirlooms that are safe for the crib. Finally, place a piece of baby furniture that has been in the family for generations in the nursery.
