What do you see in the image above?
Notes:
- Freestanding tub: free standing tubs are the bathroom addition craze of today. Many bath remodeling projects are making room for the tub – to allow for a tub walk-around and change of plumbing.
- Lifting it up from the ground: most free standing tubs sit on the floor respectively – tightly attached to the base of the floor. In this example, the tub is placed atop a high wood pedestal – lifting it up from the ground. On the back side are steps leading up to the tub. The circular railing functions as a towel rack.
- Stone wall back-drop: behind the tub is a stone wall that is a bit shorter in width than the tub. Painted walls border on each side. This is much better use of stone to accent the tub and the general room decor.
- Wall mounted basin: on the left side of the image is a matching styled, wall-mounted basin underneath a wall mirror. Another popular style for bath remodels.
Final Observation:
if you are considering a free standing tub in your bath remodel, elevating the tub atop a pedestal might be something that will work in your bathroom. The setup makes the tub look even better. And try a stone backdrop (or any other backdrop) to accent the tub. This is a nice illustration of a bathroom design that might work for you.
