Keeping things in good order is not enough, however. Sometimes you need to perform a more detailed and thorough clean of your place. It is done every now and then, once in two months or twice a year. How often you give a deep wash of the building is determined by how pedantic and strict you are about cleaning. In this article we provide a cleaning plan about how to clean your place from top to bottom. Read along.
The plan is divided into categories and includes the three most common rooms in a house. Let’s get started.
Room 1: Kitchen
Your kitchen is the place that is paid a lot of attention on a daily basis. This is due to the fact that we spend plenty of time cooking, eating and washing the dishes. For this reason, kitchen is given general cleaning every day or at least it should be. This makes it easy for you to provide a more detailed wash, as there will be less to clean. The main parts that need your attention are the fridge, cabinets, microwave, oven, other appliances and counter-tops.
- Fridge – take all the food out of the fridge and clean shelf by shelf until you reach the bottom. If the shelves can be taken out, remove them and give them a more detailed clean with soapy water. Don’t forget to clean the drawers and the door from inside. When you are done, wipe the outside of the refrigerator.
- Microwave – remove the tray and wash it with soapy water. Wipe the inside and outside of the microwave with an all-purpose cleaner.
- Oven – use an all-purpose cleaner or an oven cleaner to clean the oven and pay special attention to troubled areas. If you want to perform a healthier clean, use baking soda.
- Wipe down all the other kitchen appliances and counter-tops with an all-purpose cleaner.
Room 2: Bathroom
The room that needs your attention the most is the bathroom. It is a place that attracts all sorts of dirt, bacteria and germs. Furthermore, if you don’t give it a regular clean things can become really nasty. What you have to clean:
- Shower – scrub the shower with an all-purpose cleaner. Clean the head with a toothbrush. Remove soap scum and mildew with a special cleaner.
- Sink – wipe down the sink and scrub the dirt with a toothbrush.
- Toilet – Pour some cleaner into the toilet bowl, wait for it to work and scrub the surface.
- Drawers and cabinets – wipe them with an all-purpose cleaner.
Room 3: Bedroom
The third most common room in the house is the bedroom. Pay special attention to the backs of the furniture when cleaning.
- Vacuum the surface and remove all particles, dust and cobwebs. Cover the out-of-sight areas.
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces with an all-purpose cleaner.
- Clean the mirror and windows with a glass cleaner.
- Clean the drawers and desks with an all-purpose cleaner.
- Check out under the bed.
