and driving up the cost of your utility bills.<\/li>\n<li>These costs will add  up substantially over time and the truth is that you could quite easily take  preventative action to keep heating costs down and allow your home to retain  warmth. <\/li>\n<li>Simple measures like pulling the drapes at night or covering window and  door gaps with draughtproofing strips will reduce heating costs.<\/li>\n<li>However, it&#8217;s  worth investing in quality insulation for your walls, attic and roof, as the  energy savings from these would pay you back within 5-6 years.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top: 35px;
