Decorative Store the Key to Highlighting Kitchenware

Kitchen storage has become a hot button for many homeowners as they try to keep clutter at bay and showcase their fancy kitchenware. If you're looking for unique ways to display your kitchenware, dinnerware and general tableware, look no further than your kitchen cabinets.

Kitchen cabinets are made in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, making them ideal for storing a wide variety of kitchenware items. If you have decorative plates, look for a cabinet with grooved section where plates can be displayed. If you have tall crystal glasses, try a glass cabinet with a lighted interior. In each scenario, the kitchenware can be the focal point.

The first step is to evaluate what kitchenware and tableware you have. How large are the pieces and the overall collection? Many small tableware items can be stored in an old fashioned hutch that is placed in a breakfast room, for example. Other decorative kitchenware is more suited for open shelving on a kitchen island.

Many dinnerware settings require a larger cabinet of shelving unit. This can be built into cabinetry or added as a separate shelving area in a breakfast room or dining room.

The added benefit of using cabinetry or shelving to display your tableware is that it can allow you to hide and group items. A large Early American dish collection might seem cluttered if place in several spots around the room. By combining the kitchenware in one central spot, you organize and showcase.

There are many ways to create focal points with your kitchenware. The trick is to highlight a few important pieces and create just the right storage niche to frame the space.
